7 weeks post Op

one month since the last lot of pics taken! There has been some dramatic changes - both good and not so good!

Below you can see my belly has flattened out now. My belly button is bloody cute, its elongated and youthful looking - the man is a legend! I am very happy with this. There is still swelling, especially on the right (my left) side where the open wounds are. Still quite a bit of puckering, but this will go as everything settles down. You can see I'm still a little lop sided - my right side has dropped perfectly now and is settling into place. Look at my waist! adorable huh?

This is my good side. The scars are really healing well, everything is dropping and flattening out. I still need to wear tapes 24/7 for the next 5-6 weeks still to ensure they dont stretch. I feel "safe" while I have my tapes on and very vulnerable when I dont. It's like a little safety blanket for me mentally LOL. I'll be able to start moisturising them and help them fade out to a fine white line - could take a couple of years! Like my front, there is still a bit of puckering which will flatten out over the next six months. Pic after the one below is extremely graphic, you have been warned!

This just makes me cry. If you compare this pic the month before, you can see where the wound has opened up. What started as black dead tissue, manifestered into something a little bit more nasty. However, all is not lost - its a post op complication which can be expected - its not until it actually happens that you realise what the hell it means! It will heal, will just take a little longer and then I wont even know it was there. It's more superficial than it looks. It doesnt hurt - I'm still numb in that area. The wound is currently 2inches long and about 2 inches deep in some parts - this side is still more swollen - my bodies reaction to help heal this bit. You can also just see where its popped out the back too grrrrrrrrrr

Here is where my side wound also manifestered itself in my back. What started off as a little pin prick, grew to a hole the size of a 50c piece and about 1 inch deep. Again - with time and the right wound dressings it will heal. This wound is more of a concern than the front wound believe it or not. It has something to do with "tracking" they are hoping it doesnt follow the suture line to meet up with the front wound - the nurses are measuring the depth weekly to monitor this. I'm still extremely happy with my porn star arse - I think it looks hot and the scarring will fade beautifully once this all heals up.
There we have it ... 7 weeks down the track - the majority of my circumfrential wound is healing as expected, everything is starting to drop and settle into place and I'm extremely happy with the majority of its progress. Unfortunately I was one of the unlucky ones that has to deal with a minor post op complication. As I keep telling myself - if this is the only thing I have to worry about after what I just did to myself ... then I count my blessings!

Roll on the next 6-8 weeks of healing! :)

18 Days Down

Ok, so its been another 9 days of healing and things have started changing - quite dramatically! This evening we pulled the tapes off again and inspected my wounds - in some areas the wound has completely healed over, in some areas it needs more time but I'm starting to see results. Alot of swelling has disappeared, but there is still alot to go. The most noticeable I thing is around my belly ... the 2nd pair of tits are slowly disappearing! WOOHOO of course I couldnt freak you out completely and show off my jagged fanny bits, so Craig suggested I got decent and covered up a bit LMAO! - Arent my thighs gorgeous!!!???!?!! and my waist is starting to form - belly button is healing nicely too, the "outtie" is starting to disappear!

This side looks amazing, the scar is nearly completely sealed - quite incredible ... and if you look real close you'll even see some abs developing! LOL My back is also starting to shape again - the swelling is definately coming down.

This is the icky side, but its healing and the surgeon is ok with its progress. hehe look at my pot belly!

Ah here she is my porn star arse. The "breakdown" is still a little icky, but again we are confident it will heal. I've still got a dimple in one arse cheek, this is a "hoisting stitch" and will dissolve in time and drop to match my other arse cheek. Got stuff all stretch marks left now too! God I love my arse! At least its not so "baboonish" now, no worries about showing off my winkle this time! LOL

As you can tell, I'm pretty pleased with the results so far. It's coming along awesomely. The weird thing for me right now is the whole hip/waist thing. I was talking to my mum-inlaw and sisinlaw and they reckon my hips/waist are in the right place. It all just seems to high to me at the moment, but of course I've never seen my true shape before. I am long in the leg (yes there is a god!) and short in the torso. This is going to alter my whole shopping experience - I'm going to be trying on anything and everything until I have a good understanding whats going to work on my new bod! how bloody exciting is that? LMAO! Oh yeah ... and if the swelling keeps coming down ... for the first time in my life I have the potential to be "top heavy"! holy crap!

Post Op Pics - 9 Days

Ok so remember things are pretty swollen and uggers right now ... its only day 9!

This is my front tummy shot - where I had my initial concerns ... see my outtie belly button ... its that little ugly thing in between what looks like two tits! arghhhhhh all the taped up bits is my fanny with the drains coming out of it ... trust me even in this state it looks 200% better than pre op! LOL Now apparently everything will "drop" and flatten out. The scars are sitting a little high on my hips at the moment, but they will drop up to a couple of inches and when that happens, everything smooths out ... faith Leenie, have 100% faith in the man!

Now apparently also I have all thise internal "hoisting" stitches which self dissolve in a couple of weeks time and that helps everything settle also. It's incredible how this is all going to come together eventually. I was reading some internet articles which suggest that 75% of the swelling will disappear within 6 weeks and 90% of the swelling with go within 3 months. YAY! I'm going to look so hot on the gold coast at Christmas ;)

Heres a side view of the scar going over my "hip" which is more around the level of my waist at the moment ... the black piece is just blood and tissue healing, again he said nothing to be concerned about. It looks all jagged and puckered, but again it will all smooth out. Incredible really.

Otherside - left to right going from bum to front ... I've still got the drawings on my outer thighs where he marked me up! LOL Actually the scarring looks quite good on this side - very fine already!

Now this is what I'm excited about ... MY BUM! I reckon I'm going to have a porn star bum YIPPEEEEEEEEEEEEE ... I can so see the potential here, remember I'M REALLY SWOLLEN but sheez, cant you just picture it with the scar faded and swelling gone - reasonable waist, cute hips and a nice ROUND bum! yeeeeeeeeee haaaaaaaaaaaaa ... this shot excites me ... dont enlarge it and look too close, or you may see my winkle LMAO! The "breakdown" has occurred where the "v" meets at my butt crack. Breakdown means the wound has come apart slightly or in graphic terms - BUSTED OPEN ... ewwwwwwwww ... but thats ok, it happens to everyone in varying degrees just takes a little bit longer to heal - cant see it anyway because its inside the butt crack - its where all the pressure is when you sit on your arse all day - so guess it is to be expected! LOL

Ok ... so thats it ... my gory first post op pics. Hope I didnt freak you out too much - I'm finding it all quite fascinating :D
